The DOL – Unarmed Security Training/Certification is an 8-hour class (8 am–4 pm) at the VSO Training Center, covering essential skills, legal requirements, and practical techniques for unarmed security professionals. Includes: -Unarmed Guard State Certification -Do’s and Dont’s as an unarmed security guard. -Public Interaction Best Practices -Use of Force Continuum -How to Identify and Handle Potential Aggressor -Observe & Reporting Basics -Different Security Awareness Levels -Security Guard Presence Knowledge -Emergency Situations (Fire, Medical, Crisis) -How to handle the media -Written State Mandated Knowledge Test
